Community Highlights: A Look Back at EVB’s August
August brought sunshine, celebrations, and numerous opportunities for Elkhorn Valley Bank to connect with our communities. From golf outings and parades to donuts, dogs, and employee milestones, here’s a look back at how EVB made a difference last month.
August 1: Our team found their “Happy Place” at the Norfolk Chamber Golf Day! With a Happy Gilmore-themed tee box and plenty of laughs, we enjoyed connecting with local businesses while supporting this annual event.
August 7: EVB partnered with the Animal Shelter of Northeast Nebraska for Dogs & Donuts! Guests enjoyed treats from DonutNV, met adoptable pets, and supported animals in need with 10% of sales donated back to the shelter.
August 7: That same evening, our EVB Social Committee hosted a summer picnic for employees and families during Norfolk’s Music in the Park. The night was filled with food, music, and the community pride that brings us together.
August 11: Our Pierce team joined in National Night Out, serving root beer floats and connecting with neighbors, first responders, and law enforcement. We’re proud to be part of this event that keeps Pierce safe and strong.
August 15: EVB sponsored and attended the Elkhorn Valley Whitetails Unlimited Banquet, showing our support for local conservation efforts.
August 16: Our Yankton team celebrated tradition at the Riverboat Days & Summer Arts Festival parade, joining the community in “sailing into the sunset of summer.”
Employee Milestones: We proudly celebrated anniversaries for Jarvis Otten, Executive Vice President (30 years); Mya Vanderlinde, Operations Specialist (5 years); Tom Hockabout, Senior Vice President, Trust Services (5 years); and Gina Lindsay, Vice President, Trust Services (5 years).
New Faces: We welcomed several new employees to the EVB team — Barett Griffith (Teller, Omaha Avenue, Norfolk), Macey Moore (Teller, 25th Street, Norfolk), Andy Sudbeck (Vice President, Benjamin Avenue, Norfolk), and April Buss (Vice President, Accounting & Finance, 25th Street, Norfolk).
Thank you to all our customers, employees, and community partners for making August another month filled with connection and community spirit. We look forward to making a difference together in September!
