Community Highlights: A Look Back at EVB’s January
January marked a strong start to the year at Elkhorn Valley Bank, with a focus on agricultural connections, financial education, and celebrating the people who help make our work possible. Here’s a look back on EVB’s January:
January 12: Progress continues on the North Yankton branch, with construction moving forward both inside and out. The project is steadily taking shape as we work toward opening a new branch designed to serve the Yankton area for years to come, with an estimated completion in August 2026.
January 14–15: EVB team members participated in the 39th Annual Northeast Nebraska Farm & Equipment Show at the Northeast Community College Chuck M. Pohlman Ag Complex in Norfolk. Throughout the two-day event, the team connected with customers, neighbors, and friends, celebrating the strong agricultural roots and close-knit communities we’re proud to serve.
January 22: EVB team members visited Woodland Park Elementary to present Money Basics to fourth-grade students. The presentation focused on wants versus needs, saving, and building positive money habits, helping students gain confidence and practical skills they can use now and in the future.
New Faces: EVB welcomed three new team members this month, including Kaylee Hill, Teller at HyVee East in Norfolk; Riley Sudbeck, Teller in Wayne; and Nathan Kaiser, Teller at HyVee West in Norfolk. We’re glad to have them on board and look forward to the skills, perspectives, and positive energy they bring to our branches and the customers we serve.
Promotions: Several leadership promotions were announced in January, with David Kroupa named Chief Credit Officer, Seth Mangels promoted to Chief Financial Officer, and Ashley Cook advancing to Senior Vice President, Cashier. These advancements reflect their expertise, dedication, and the important role they will continue to play as EVB looks ahead and grows across our communities.
Service Anniversary: Patty Tobey celebrated 30 years with EVB, marking an impressive milestone and reflecting her long-standing dedication and commitment to the bank and the communities we serve.
As January comes to a close, we’re grateful for the opportunities to connect, educate, and celebrate alongside our communities and coworkers. We look forward to building on this momentum in the months ahead.
