Community Highlights: A Look Back at EVB’s June
June was full of great moments across our communities, and Elkhorn Valley Bank was proud to be part of so many events and milestones that help make northeast Nebraska a better place to live and work. Here’s a look back at how we connected, supported, and celebrated throughout the month.
June 5: We joined Providence Medical Center’s Bikefest in Wayne, which promotes bike safety and healthy living for kids and families. EVB was glad to contribute by donating a bike to help encourage safe and active fun for local children.
June 6: Our teams teed off at two tournaments supporting causes close to the community. In Wayne, we supported the Wayne State College Catbacker Golf Tournament at the Wayne Country Club. Back in Norfolk, we joined the Briggs and Barrett Project Golf Tournament at Fairplay Golf Course. The Briggs & Barrett Project raises awareness about Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) and provides critical support to families navigating these devastating losses.
June 13: EVB was proud to return as a Presenting Sponsor of the Lutheran High Northeast Eagle Open at Eldorado Golf Course in Norfolk. This annual tournament directly supports Lutheran High Northeast’s mission to deliver strong academics and Christian education for students in our area.
June 16: A major milestone for our growing footprint — we officially broke ground on our new North Yankton branch at 3300 Broadway Avenue in Yankton, SD. We’re excited to continue growing our presence and service in the Yankton community. Read more about the groundbreaking here.
June 17: We were proud to support the Northeast Nebraska Ag Banquet at the Madison County Fairgrounds. Hosted by the Norfolk Area Chamber, this annual banquet celebrates and recognizes the agricultural community’s contributions to our region’s economy and way of life. Proceeds from the event go toward youth scholarships and local ag education programs, helping develop the next generation of ag leaders.
June 20: We marked a special milestone within EVB. Ashley McCart celebrated 20 years of service with the bank. Ashley plays a vital role behind the scenes, ensuring things run smoothly for our team and our customers. Her dedication, expertise, and commitment over two decades have made a lasting impact. Thank you, Ashley, for 20 years of making a difference at EVB.
June 20: Our team headed to Pender for the Northeast Nebraska Cattlemen’s Golf Outing at Twin Creeks Golf Club. This fun day on the course supports local agriculture and helps build connections that keep our communities strong.
June 23: We took part in the Pierce Farmers Open at the Pierce Community Golf Course. This annual tournament brings local businesses, ag partners, and community members together to support the Pierce Chamber and local initiatives that benefit the area’s farm families and businesses.
June 25: We were honored to support the Go Red for Women Banquet at the Midtown Event Center in Norfolk. This inspiring evening raised awareness and funds to advance heart health education and advocacy for women in our community. For a closer look at this impactful event, read our full event recap here.
June 27: We wrapped up the month at the Faith Regional Health Services Partners in Health Golf Classic at the Norfolk Country Club. This annual outing raises funds that directly benefit patient care and health services for families in our region.
From new partnerships to longtime community traditions, we are grateful for every chance to connect and give back. Thank you to our customers, employees, and community partners for making June a month full of meaningful moments.
