September was filled with community involvement, team celebrations, and exciting milestones at Elkhorn Valley Bank. From sponsoring local events to recognizing our staff, we’re proud to reflect on another month of making a difference in the lives of our customers, coworkers, and communities.

September 11: EVB was proud to sponsor and participate in the 19th Annual Nucor Charity Golf Tournament. The tournament benefits volunteer fire departments across Northeast Nebraska, a cause close to our hearts as we paused to reflect on Patriot Day.

September 14: Members of the EVB team joined the Christ Classic Golf Scramble, supporting Christ Lutheran Schools in Norfolk and enjoying a day of friendly competition for a great cause.

September 17: We wrapped up assemblies at all seven Norfolk Public elementary schools, marking the first district-wide rollout of our in-school savings program! We’re thrilled to partner with NPS and can’t wait to see the program’s impact on students and families.

September 20: EVB had a blast at the Mardi Gras-themed Lions Club Parade, earning the award for Most Unusual Float. It was a day full of community spirit, smiles, and festive fun!

September 22: Our employee-led Social Committee hosted a creative Paint & Sip event where employees crafted DIY seasonal door decor. It was a fun way to connect and prepare for the upcoming seasons together.

September 24: Vice President of Lending, Andy Sudbeck, attended the EVB-sponsored Ducks Unlimited Banquet in Norfolk, where two of his three children won lifetime hunting permits—a memorable evening for the Sudbeck family and our team.

September 27: EVB is gearing up to support the 2025 Liberty Centre Color Your Recovery Walk/Run. As a proud sponsor of this vibrant event, EVB staff is lacing up their running shoes while others are volunteering at the color stations along the route.

Celebrating Our Team: Congratulations to Brandon Mainquist for being voted “Best Loan Officer” in The Wayne Herald’s “Best of” awards! We’re thrilled to celebrate his dedication to customers and community. We’re thrilled to announce that Jodi Larsen has been promoted to Personal Banker. Jodi brings enthusiasm, expertise, and a heart for serving customers, and we’re excited to see her continue to grow in this new role.

New Faces: We also welcomed three new faces to the EVB team this month: Madison Blaylock, Teller at Omaha Avenue; Sam Taylor, IT Specialist at 25th Street; and Martin Imedi, Teller at HyVee East—all in Norfolk. We’re glad to have them on board and look forward to the difference they’ll make.

As September comes to a close, we’re reminded of how much our team values the opportunity to engage with our communities and celebrate the people who make EVB strong. We can’t wait to see what October brings!
