Elkhorn Valley Bank is proud to share that two of our very own, Ashley Cook, Vice President & Cashier, and Brian Chapman, Vice President, Lending, have been named to CONNECT Norfolk’s 2025 Top 20 Under 40 list.

This annual recognition, featured in the Spring/Summer edition of Norfolk Now Magazine, celebrates young professionals in the Norfolk area who are making a difference through leadership, service, and professional excellence. Ashley and Brian reflect each of these qualities, both in the workplace and throughout the community.

Ashley Cook: A Career of Dedication and a Heart for Service

Ashley’s 20-year journey with EVB is a testament to hard work and growth. Starting as a teller in 2006, she has continually pursued learning opportunities and advanced her career to become Vice President & Cashier. Most recently, she completed the Advanced School of Banking, a rigorous program designed to strengthen leadership and operational skills in banking.

Outside of work, Ashley plays a key role in several local initiatives. She serves as Treasurer and Executive Committee Member of the Norfolk Area Childcare Collaborative, helping to improve access to quality childcare in the region. She is also actively involved in causes like Relay for Life, Mercy Meals, S.M.I.L.E. Inc Cleanup Day, and the Salvation Army Bell Ringing, and regularly participates in community events such as the Lions Day Parade, Briggs & Barrett Project Battle of the Businesses, and the Ducks Unlimited Dinner.

Brian Chapman: Leading with Impact

Brian joined EVB just over a year ago and has quickly made an impact as Vice President of Lending. Known for building strong relationships and supporting his customers’ financial success, Brian’s work is helping to grow and strengthen the communities we serve.

He also lends his leadership to several local organizations, serving on the boards of the Northeast Community College Foundation, United Way, and the Salvation Army of Norfolk. Additionally, he is the Vice President of the Battle Creek Youth Football Association. From meal-packing events and senior outreach to participating in various Chamber activities, Brian approaches community involvement with a spirit of service and purpose.

We are proud to celebrate both Ashley and Brian for this well-deserved recognition. Their dedication and leadership reflect the mission of EVB and the values we strive to live out every day.
