Elkhorn Valley Bank is pleased to announce two new officers joining our Norfolk locations: Andy Sudbeck, Vice President of Lending at the Benjamin Avenue branch, and April Buss, Vice President of Accounting & Finance at the 25th Street branch. Both bring extensive experience and a strong commitment to serving our customers and community.

Andy Sudbeck – Vice President, Lending

Andy Sudbeck joins EVB with deep roots in Northeast Nebraska, having grown up near Fordyce. He and his wife, Marissa, reside in Norfolk with their three daughters—Kinzie, Jacee, and Paisley—all students at Norfolk Catholic School. Andy enjoys outdoor activities, including ATV riding, hunting, fishing, golfing, and family vacations.

Andy was drawn to EVB’s long-standing presence in the Norfolk community and its alignment with his personal values. “I appreciate EVB’s small-town banking atmosphere and its active involvement in the community,” he said.

Having lived in Norfolk for more than 20 years, Andy values the city’s welcoming environment and growth opportunities. “I have been involved in many community events and am encouraged by Norfolk’s continued development,” he noted.

April Buss – Vice President, Accounting & Finance

April brings over 20 years of accounting and finance experience, including roles as Controller at Miller Feedyard and Assistant Controller at Husker Ag ethanol plant. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Wayne State College.

April was drawn to Elkhorn Valley Bank because of its strong reputation and commitment to both employees and the community. “EVB truly cares about their employees, encouraging work-life balance and professional growth. I’m excited to learn more about the banking industry, apply my accounting knowledge in new ways, and become part of the team.”

Although Plainview, Nebraska is home, April is looking forward to working in Norfolk. “It has a small-town atmosphere with plenty of amenities and entertainment. I’m excited to get to know more about the community.”

Elkhorn Valley Bank is proud to welcome Andy Sudbeck and April Buss to our team. Their unique expertise and dedication will strengthen our ability to serve and make a difference for our customers, coworkers, and community.
